Jesus on forgiveness

Matthew 6:1, 14-15  Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to  be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. … 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 9:2-7 KJV And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the  palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This [man] blasphemeth.  And Jesus knowing their thoughts  said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?  For whether is easier, to say, [Thy] sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to  forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed , and go unto thine house.  And he arose, and departed to his house.

Matthew 12:31-32 KJV

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be  forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be  forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Matthew 18:21-35 KJV – 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord,   how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. 23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. 29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Mark 2.1-12

And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. And straightway many were gathered together ,  insomuch that there was no room to receive them,no, notso much as about the door: and he preached the word unto themAnd they come unto him bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they  uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed where the pick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the sick of the Palsy, “Son thy sins are fogiven thee”. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there , and reasoning in their hearts.   ‘Why doth this many speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so  reasoned, he said said unto them,”Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy,’Thy sins be forgiven thee’;or to say, ‘Arise take up  they bed and walk’. But that you may know that the Son of Man hath power on Earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)  I say unto thee, arise , and take up thy bead, and go thy way into thing house'”. Luke 7:40-50 KJV – 40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have  somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. 41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. 44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. 47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. 48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. 49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? 50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Luke 11:1-4 NKJV – 1 Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” 2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your  kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
